SPHERE-Québec measures

SPHERE-Québec offers four distinct measures, each with the objective of improving the participant employability and thereby fostering their integration over the short or medium term.

  1. Salary subsidy: This measure is aimed at participants who are close to the labour market. Its objective is to put in place the tools necessary to give them a boost. This is occasional assistance to facilitate the short-terms integration of sustainable employment.
  2. Work experience: The purpose of this measure is to enable the person to improve his or her employability through the acquisition of significant work experience. This experience also encourages the development of good work habits, increased self-confidence, development of people skills, etc.
  3. Assistance for self-employed workers: With this measure, a person with a disability can launch a small business and thereby create his/her own job. This measure is interesting particularly for people who, because of their limitations, need to have a flexible schedule.
  4. Increased employment assistance: With this measure, a participant can participate in a paid or unpaid internship. This type of on-the-job learning places the person in a genuine work situation thanks to individualized accompaniment by a professional resource. This measure significantly improves the chances of success.

The support offered by SPHERE-Québec can take several forms based on the person’s real needs;

  • Pay a portion of the person’s salary;
  • Provide equipment to adapt the premises and the work station;
  • Braille interpretation or transcription fees;
  • Transportation expenses or other personal support;
  • Individualized accompaniment;
  • Etc.
